Happy Easter

Religion is often born out of faith , but becomes preoccupied with rules and activities, with a goal of self-obtained salvation in mind.

Christianity is about knowing who Jesus is, why he is worth following and then building a relationship with Him day by day.

Someone has to pay the price for your sin. Will it be you, or Jesus?

Understand that salvation is a gift, freely given but at a high price.  And what response is there, in return, but to repay Him with our life, in service and worship.

Sometimes, in following after Jesus we can fall in to patterns or routines.  It's usually because of a lack of imagination but we must be careful to remember that it's through his love that we are set free, not our abilities.

It's a fine line.

Today we celebrate His sacrifice, His victory and His love - without which we would have no chance.

Flashback Friday

A friend of ours posted this picture on Facebook, of Scott when he was 17!  Probably the most hair he had since he was little!

Photo shoot

Before we left Florida we stopped at Picture People and got a few shots of the whole family.  I think they came out pretty well!
L>R: Eloise (6), Nicola (my sister), Jon (my brother-in-law), James (3), Dad, Caitlin (9), Mum, Toby (4), Scott, Debra (me), Emma (6).

Just us...

My sisters family...

The grand kids!

My babies!

My nieces and [grumpy!] nephew!

Behind the scenes...

Post-shoot snacks!

The boys (best buddies!)

My princess!

A stop in the Apple Store - almost as fun as Disney itself!

Hollywood Studios

Our second Disney park was Hollywood Studios - formerly MGM....

Everyone was ready to go!

The suspects!

The first princess Emma met!

Waiting to see Disney Jnr. Live!

The Toy Story area was a big hit with all the kids!  We couldn't resist getting them these hats!

Some of the lines we stood in and fun things to see and do, which was great!

We got to see some Monsters Inc guys too!

There was a show with cool movie stunts and effects, explosions and cars cut in half!  Lightning McQueen made an appearance which was really cool!

Scott, Jon and I made it to the Tower of Terror!  We'd all been on it many years earlier and remembered it as super scary.

Apparently our memory failed us!  It was good, but as you can see (middle row on the right)we were waiting for a bigger drop!

While we did that Mum and Nicola kindly took the kids to see Beauty and the Beast - a half hour musical, that was really very good (we got there in time to see most of it!)

After staying for the fireworks and light show, it was really late when we left and the kids barely made it out of the parking lot before falling asleep!

Happy Monday

It's been 7 months since I sat out in the heat and solar charged!  After the worst winter on record it was even sweeter to spend a day by the pool with the kids, catching some rays!

Animal Kingdom

Mothering Sunday and Mum just wanted the family to be all together.  Where better than Disney World?!  More specifically, Animal Kingdom!

Em and I were ready to go!
