Looking ahead

The 'bronc' went well today and they observed that everything below the vocal chords is fine. Above she has a moderately floppy airway and mild>moderate tongue obstruction. The findings have been passed to the specialist who is out of town until next week!

He will consider the options and then meet with us.

Thankfully Emma made it through and looked great when we saw her...

Right now she is back on the high-flow air to try and keep her airway open. It's not perfect and she still gets obstructed. Flowing the procedure she was taking a little longer to come up again which was scary and probably just due to a dry throat.

The infection looks like it's cleared up so she is doing better there, and they should start her feeds again tonight. The feeding saga could go on for sometime if she does not tolerate the full amount, and gain weight.

Stay with us - we need your support!!
