A couple of weeks ago we woke up on Saturday morning to a couple of inches of snow. It looked like the answer to Emma's prayer a week or so earlier, when, in the car on the way somewhere she said out of nowhere "Jesus, please make it snow." "He will" I told her, we just don't know when!"
Unfortunately, the rain that followed the snow that morning, in freezing temperatures, left a nice thick crust of ice on the top. It even froze the minivan door shut!
By the time we got outside after nap, the kids weren't even heavy enough to leave footprints on the icy snow!
We made the best of it though...
We even made a snow dog from large ice boulders the plows left behind!
The kids picked up chunks of ice to throw like snowballs, only harder!!
Then inside to warm up,
and relax...
