It required a 25yd swim, then tread water and float for 30 seconds. I'm still so awed and proud. She's done all this in just a few weeks with very little pool exposure prior to Florida, and swims as well as other kids her age!
The purpose is to be allowed to go on the slide into the deep pool which is 8-12 feet deep.
Emma is not willing to attempt the slide yet, but we have worked up from jumping while standing in water, to jumping off the side into 4ft of water. It took a very gradual process of increasing the risk!!
Toby is content with this...
But he is getting more comfortable. He's never been a water baby so it will take him longer.
