We are going to try and teach Toby to read before September, or at least get his "sight words" - these are very short words that appear frequently and are learned by memorisation, like "the", "a", "are".

As we were sat around the table we tried showing him a few words.  I was trying to get him to say "we" using the letter sounds.  When I finally said "it is we" his response was epic:

Toby: No! We is spelled W-i-i!

We cracked up!  You can guess what he has spend the last week doing, and is highly addicted too!
